Full description
A card holder is the smallest possible argument for full-grain leather, and tan makes the argument loudest. It folds open like a small book — card slots on both sides, a cash pocket in the spine — and starts the colour of sand before it ends up the colour of a well-used saddle. HOW IT IS LAID OUT Open it and there are stacked slots on each leaf for six to eight cards, with a full-width pocket behind for folded bills. Closed, it is 0.3 inches: thinner than the phone it sits next to. THE PATINA Tan is undyed-look leather with nothing between you and the grain. Skin oils darken it, sun warms it, and the fold and corners polish first. Two people carrying this holder for a year will end up with two different colours. CONSTRUCTION Tuscan full-grain leather, hand saddle-stitched with waxed thread, edges bevelled and burnished by hand. 45 grams.
